We are an official CrossFit Kids affiliate. What does this mean? 

All of our coaches who interact with the Kids and Pre-Teens are certified by CrossFit and have undergone a background check. CrossFit Kids is based on:

What is the benefit of your child enrolling in our CrossFit Kids program? 
We teach FUN - an active alternative to sedentary activities. It's more than just an hour at soccer practice. Kids learn skills and gain body awareness that carries over to all other sports. As with adults, the needs of our youth athletes differ by degree, not kind. We are pleased to offer a program that is adaptable to kids aged 5-15. Teens 16 and up are evaluated for our adult classes on a case by case basis. 

Classes run in 5 week cycles. Our next cycles begin: 
November 20
January 8
February 12
 
Class Schedules are as follows: 

Kids 5-9 Wednesdays 4:15-5PM
Kids 10-15 Mondays & Thursdays 4:15-5PM

QUESTIONS? 

 

When will the classes be held?
Classes for our youngest athletes (5-9) will be held Wednesdays at 4:15PM.
Pre-Teens (10-15) are Mondays and Thursdays 4:15-5PM.  

Who will be leading the classes? 
The classes will be lead by Head Coach Anthony Musemici. Coach Anthony holds a CrossFit Kids Certification and has been working with young athletes for over a decade.
 
Are these classes right for my child? What are the expectations? 
Eating healthy and staying active are vital to a growing mind and body. Whether we like it or not, obesity is an epidemic in our country. By enrolling your child in a physical activity you are taking the first steps towards instilling healthy habits that can last a lifetime. CrossFit is functional fitness. Squatting is similar to sitting down in a chair. Lifting up a bag of groceries is a deadlift. Kids will eventually be faced with sports and weight training as they enter junior high or high school. Teaching them the basic positions and how exercise can be FUN is important even at the youngest ages! 
We expect your child to show up to all their registered classes. It's important for them and the other children to have consistency in their class. The learning curve is stronger when they are here two days a week, every week.
